Let Brotherly Love Continue!
Hebrews 13:1-6

Christopher A. Bradley Let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

There are many things in our society that continues to happen within each generation. Each generation has had to deal with crime or violence. Each generation has had to deal with single parenthood or abusive spouses. Each generation has had to deal with homelessness or with those who have nothing. With each generation, each of these problems continues to grow at an alarming rate, that even our powerful government has become overwhelmed in trying to help. Many have turned to the government looking for help, but the government can only help a few. However the truest form of help comes from when men and women obey the Lord.

When the Hebrew writer penned the words of Hebrews 13:1 (KJV) Let brotherly love continue. He was reiterating the commands of Jesus in Luke 10:27,

...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

If we let brotherly continue as commanded by the scriptures, it would provide great relief in homelessness, hunger, violence, crime and raising a family. Is it possible, YES it is because The Lord is my helper!
